Terms of Service

1. Who can use WorkPaisa

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract under Indian law.
• You must register with a mobile number you control and keep your details accurate.
• One person or business may hold one account. An account can hold several roles (job seeker, employer, task client, professional).

2. Our role

WorkPaisa is an intermediary that connects job seekers, employers, task clients and professionals. We are not the employer of any job seeker, nor a party to employment contracts or service agreements made between users, except where we hold task payments as described in the Escrow Policy.

3. Job seekers

• Searching, applying and Hire Me LIVE are free. Premium features are optional.
• Hire Me LIVE listings end automatically and are hidden after 72 hours of inactivity.
• You must not misrepresent your identity, experience or qualifications.

4. Employers

• Job posts must describe a real vacancy with honest pay, location and duties.
• You must never charge job seekers any fee, deposit or training cost.
• Candidate contact details may be used only for recruiting for the role concerned.
• We may review, pause or remove any listing that breaks these Terms or our Community Guidelines.

5. WorkPaisa Tasks

• Clients pay a service fee of 3% per payment (minimum ₹19, maximum ₹999). Professionals pay a 10% commission on payouts (6% on the Tasks Pro plan).
• Contact details for a task are shared only after the required advance payment is confirmed by our payment partner.
• Payments for work agreed on WorkPaisa must be made through WorkPaisa. Payments made outside the Platform are not protected.
• Funds are released when the client approves a milestone, or automatically 5 days after delivery if the client does not respond.

6. Payments and subscriptions

• Payments are processed by RBI-authorised payment aggregators. WorkPaisa does not store card numbers or UPI PINs.
• Prices and fees include GST at 18%. A tax invoice showing the GST amount is issued for every fee and subscription.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

7. Prohibited conduct

• Fraud, impersonation, fake listings or reviews.
• Harassment, discrimination or hate speech.
• Collecting other users' data for any purpose other than the transaction concerned.
• Scraping, reverse engineering or disrupting the Platform.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible. You may close your account at any time from Settings once open contracts are completed and your wallet balance is withdrawn.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, WorkPaisa is not liable for the conduct of users, the outcome of interviews or hiring decisions, or the quality of services provided by professionals. Our total liability in connection with a task is limited to the fees you paid to WorkPaisa for that task.

10. Grievances and governing law

Complaints can be sent to our Grievance Officer at grievance@workpaisa.com. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days, as required by the IT Rules, 2021.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at the location of our registered office have jurisdiction.
